Getting started

Create an account, generate a proxy credential, and send your first request through the gateway.

Create an account

Sign up at Register with an email and password, then verify your email from the link we send you. Once you're in, the dashboard is where you'll create credentials, top up your balance and check usage.

There's nothing to install on your side — the proxy gateway is a single hostname (proxy.oneforproxy.com) that accepts both HTTP and SOCKS5 connections. See Pricing for current rates; billing is per GB of traffic, prepaid from your USD balance.

Create a credential

Open Proxies in the dashboard and click New credential. A login that looks like ofp_0123abcd and a password are generated for you and appear in the credentials table, where you can reveal, copy or rotate the password at any time. Keep the password secret — anyone with it can spend from your balance.

You don't need a separate credential per use case. The same login/password pair works for every request; targeting (country, city, sticky sessions, …) is selected per request by appending options to the username, not by creating more credentials.

Build a request with the endpoint generator

Below the credentials table, the Endpoint generator card turns a credential into ready-to-use proxy lines without typing the username DSL by hand: pick the credential, a protocol (HTTP or SOCKS5), optional country/state/city/ASN, a rotating or sticky session, an output format and how many lines you want — then Copy all or Download .txt. It's the fastest way to get a working line into a script, a scraper or a browser extension.

Your first request

Both ports on proxy.oneforproxy.com accept the same login and password:

HTTP / HTTPS (CONNECT) proxy.oneforproxy.com:8080
SOCKS5 proxy.oneforproxy.com:1080

A plain HTTP proxy request with curl:

curl -x "http://ofp_0123abcd:PASSWORD@proxy.oneforproxy.com:8080" https://api.ipify.org

Replace ofp_0123abcd and PASSWORD with your own credential. If you'd rather target a specific country, append it to the username as -country-<cc> — see the full DSL in the Docs:

curl -x "http://ofp_0123abcd-country-de:PASSWORD@proxy.oneforproxy.com:8080" https://api.ipify.org

For SOCKS5, use socks5h:// so hostnames resolve through the proxy rather than locally:

curl -x "socks5h://ofp_0123abcd-country-de:PASSWORD@proxy.oneforproxy.com:1080" https://api.ipify.org

Seeing the result

api.ipify.org echoes back the IP address your request left from, so a successful call prints an address that isn't your own — that's the exit IP from the proxy pool. If you get 407 Proxy Authentication Required instead, double-check the login/password and any -key-value targeting options for typos; the full list of errors and what to do about each one is in Errors and the Docs.
