Browser extensions (FoxyProxy, SwitchyOmega)

Configure FoxyProxy or SwitchyOmega with HTTP or SOCKS5, select a country through the username, and keep one IP with a sticky session.

Updated Sep 15, 2026 · 2 min read

Both FoxyProxy and SwitchyOmega talk to the gateway the same way native clients do: one host, HTTP and SOCKS5 on separate ports, and targeting baked into the username. Get a credential first under Proxies (see Getting started).

Host proxy.oneforproxy.com
HTTP 8080
SOCKS5 1080

FoxyProxy (Firefox and Chrome)

  1. Install FoxyProxy from your browser's extension store and open its options.

  2. Add a new proxy: Title OneForProxy, Proxy Type HTTP (or SOCKS5), Host proxy.oneforproxy.com, Port 8080 (or 1080 for SOCKS5).

  3. Under that proxy's authentication, enter your credential's login as the username and its password as the password. To pin a country, add it to the username field itself — it isn't restricted to the plain login:

    ofp_0123abcd-country-de
  4. Save, then switch FoxyProxy's toolbar icon to this proxy (or set it to "Use proxy for all URLs").

  5. Visit https://api.ipify.org — it should print an IP that isn't your own.

SwitchyOmega (Chrome, Edge, Brave)

  1. Install SwitchyOmega and create a new profile of type Proxy Profile.
  2. Under HTTP (or SOCKS5, protocol SOCKS5), set Server proxy.oneforproxy.com and Port 8080 (or 1080).
  3. SwitchyOmega prompts for a username/password on first use, or via the browser's own proxy auth dialog — enter the credential login (with any -country-xx etc. suffix) and password there.
  4. Apply the profile from the toolbar to route traffic through it.

Selecting a country from the extension

Because targeting lives in the username, you don't need a separate proxy entry per country — just change the suffix and re-save:

ofp_0123abcd-country-us-state-california
ofp_0123abcd-country-jp

See the full key list (country, state, city, ASN) in Targeting.

Keeping the same IP (sticky sessions)

By default every new connection can get a different exit IP. To keep one IP while you're logged into a site through the extension, add -session-<id>-life-<minutes>:

ofp_0123abcd-country-us-session-browser1-life-30

Use a different session id per browser profile or tab group if you want each one to keep its own IP. Details and limits are in Sticky sessions.

Troubleshooting

  • A blank or refused connection with no page load usually means the extension isn't actually active — check the toolbar icon / active profile.
  • 407 Proxy Authentication Required in the extension's log means the login, password or a targeting option is wrong — see Errors.
  • Some extensions cache the auth prompt; if you change the username suffix, clear the saved credentials for that proxy entry so it re-prompts.
